Question how should I plug mouse and keyboard (just click it's not a stupid question I swear)

so here's the problem, both my mouse and keyboard will be very far away from the pc, which means I will need to use usb extensions either way. My current configuration options:

I will be using logitech G pro and corsair k95 which has usb ports on the actual keyboard

1. keyboard to usb extension to mobo + mouse to usb extension to mobo
2. mouse plugged into keyboard to usb extension to mobo

as you can see the first option requires both the keyboard and mouse to use an extension but the second only requires the keyboard to use an extension since the mouse is plugged in to the keyboard already



now the question: which configuration will yield the least latency UNLESS you guys have another configuration option that will give even lower latency
