I have recently started looking into upgrading my CPU/Mobo/RAM. And I understand that I will have to be certain when upgrading hardware to make sure I have a digitally linked Windows product key.
Luckily I have upgraded from Windows 7, to 10 long ago and thus have a digitally linked Product key. However, this was long ago, and we have had more than 1 account on this PC. So under activation it says that the product key has been linked, however, I dont know to which account its been linked. Any way for me to find out?

You may have to just grind through going account by account.....

I would start with the Admin account(s).

So I have determined that the account is linked to this PC, does that mean that the digital licence is on that same account?
And if I were to upgrade, would I need to first sign out of this PC, and then as soon as I sign in onto my "new pc" (once I upgraded my motherboard) and then the licence will be good on that pc?
appreciate the help :3

Do all the accounts on PC have email addresses linked to them? As you may want to do that process on each user just to confirm. According to Microsoft that should confirm it was the 1st account you tried.

how to move icences - you need to run a troubleshooter on new pc - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20530/windows-10-reactivating-after-hardware-change
