I'm looking to buy a new pair of headphones, primarily for games and I want them to have a decent built in mic. However, I still value the sound quality above the mic, and don't want to get anything less than what I've already got, which is a Sennheiser 280 Pro that I've had for a few years. I also prefer wired headphones, over the ear.

For Prime day, I found a bunch of good deals but realized I had no knowledge to compare the headphones other than what the manufacturer said, and a bunch of numbers I don't fully trust/understand.

Can anyone recommend a set, and/or give me a good brief on how to compare two sets of headphones? As basic as possible. My price range would be 60-100$ though I obviously prefer at the lower range. The Corsair HS70 looked good to me, any thoughts on those?

Purely subjective.

Basis:

" I want them to have a decent built in mic. However, I still value the sound quality above the mic, and don't want to get anything less than what I've already got, which is a Sennheiser 280 Pro that I've had for a few years. "

How to compare - just listen on as many sets of headphones as you can.

Pick the headphones that sound "best" to you.

However, any given set of headphones of any given make and model line could vary with respect to quality of sound and consistence.

I.e., the "lemon factor".....
