I presume that you also have plugged into one end of the Hub a SATA power output connector from your PSU for power.
You have connected a cable from it to the CHA_FAN1 header of the mobo. Go into BIOS Setup and look for the place where fans are configured. Most often there is a screen where you must choose the particular header to work with, so choose CHA_FAN1. The default settings are usually OK, but do check these items. (Since you have not told us exactly which mobo you have, I can only offer generic advice.)
- Ensure the MODE is set to PWM, not to Auto or DC or Voltage
- Set the Profile to Standard, not fixed speed or full speed (Turbo) or Quiet
- If you can choose a temperature sensor to use, select the one on the mobo, bot the one inside the CPU chip.
When done, back out to Main Menu, then use F10 to reach the Exit Menu. There choose to SAVE and EXIT and your system will ave these settings and reboot.
Any mobo header can deal with the speed signal sent back to it from ONE fan only. So with this set-up the CHA_FAN1 header will show you the speed of only the fan plugged into the Hub's Port #1, and ignore all the others. This has NO impact on ability to control the fans.
I don't know what the seventh case fan is. As long as it also is a 4-pin PWM type its speed will be controlled. Such a Hub can NOT control the speed of any older 3-pin fan.
