How to create a txt file?

Hello,I have a document which I want to translate from English into Thai but Google Translator requires the document be a txt file. How do I change my file from it's present file name to a txt file?

if it is ms word doc then open with msword & save it as .txt file ,, it too simple

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

When you will go save the file, write the name of the file and at the end write .txt
