So, the game mentioned is a 2008. game called Trackmania United Forever. The issue I have encountered with this game is that I am playing it on minimum graphic settings in order to prevent unnecessary FPS drops/lags. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M with 2Gb dedicated VRAM, and the game is using only 136Mb as shown in the ingame launcher and in the terribly laggy gaming experience. Alongside the NVIDIA graphics card, my laptop also has an integrated Intel ® HD Graphics 520. Furthermore, I am also playing TrackMania² Stadium which is Trackmania United Forever's successor which came out in 2013, and it is using 2018Mb of VRAM as opposed to 136Mb in Trackmania United Forever. I know that all games don't use all the VRAM and all that jazz, but people who have the same graphics card on their laptops have proper VRAM usage in Trackmania United Forever so I know my laptop can use more... I just need you guys and girls to help me find the solution! Thanks in advance!

Some info about my laptop:

OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 78 Stepping 3
Processor Count: 4
RAM: 6017 Mb
Graphics Card: Intel® HD Graphics 520, 1024 Mb / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950m, 2048 Mb
Hard Drives: C: 88 GB (16 GB Free); D: 931 GB (898 GB Free);
Motherboard: Acer, Ironman_SK
Antivirus: Windows Defender, Enabled and Updated

Back in 2008 most high end GPUs came with 384/512MB VRAM so if it wasn't super graphically intensive the 136MB usage makes sense. You can always see if you can do virtual super resolution which will increase RAM usage. Also make sure that the laptop is switching to the dGPU and not using the iGPU.

It is running on dGPU, but as I've said, people with same GPUs have 2000Mb+ usage whereas I'm here stuck with 136 and have to play on minimum graphics...
