Question how to oc

i just got a fx 6300 BE and a atx asus m5a97 r 2.0 mobo and want to over clock it to 4.0ghz and i ihave a hyper 212 evo and 8 gigs of ram at 1066mhz whats good for oc

Use just basic OC using multiplier and voltage adjustments step by step while checking for stability and temperatures.

and i want to do this in bios and i am new to cpu oc i had it at a 4.5 and it kept crashing on apex legends even tho it ran before and i want to have a stable 4.5 oc what can i do to keep stable asus m5a97 r2.0 amd fx 6300 3.5ghz black edition 8 gb ocz 1066mhz gtx 770 2gb
