How to remove write protection on a disk

Hello,
i have a floppy disc and i can't write to it because it says i need to remove the write protection what is that and how can i remove it

Floppy discs usually have a little switch down in the corner. Flip that switch, and it should work.

Where would the little switch be at on the floppy disc?

Notice the white square in the bottom right corner. That's the lock/unlock.
