I currently have two networks, Network A and Network B.

Network A has a default gateway of 10.1.10.1 with two computers on it.

I also have a router connected to Network A and this router creates Network B.

Network B's router has an IP address of 10.1.10.18 with a default gateway of 192.168.1.1. Also on network B i have two computers and two printers. One printer is connected directly to the 192.168.1.1 router and the other printer is connected to one of the computers via usb.

My question is how do I print to one of the printers on Network B from a computer on network A?

All of the computers are running windows XP.

is there a need to have two separate networks?

you will need to do a port forward on router B. forward port 9100 (check for the port under the printer Properties, Ports Tab, Configure Port button) to the IP of the network printer.

then configure the printer on the PCs on Network A to print to IP 10.1.10.18

you can print from A to B but not B to A

Thank you, I will try this tomorrow. There is not a need to have two networks I sort of just inherited this mess and am looking for a fix until I can convince my client to let me re-do his entire network.

Thanks again!

Edit: Forgot my pleasantries

So if I'm understanding this right the router would essentially become a switch that also provides wireless access? So all of the computers/printers on network B would then use the DHCP from the first router to recieve ip addresses.
