How to use laptop screen as desktop monitor

My desktop monitor is having some problems. Is there any way to connect my laptop screen to my old computer? I don't want to take my laptop apart, though.

Please help!

You can't use a VGA cable or HDMI cable to connect the desktop to the laptop and use it as a second monitor as the VGA and HDMI ports on a laptop are for video out and not video in.

i need to connect my desktop pc to my laptop screen. i dont have monitor and i need to check whats going on with my desktop pc. can i somehow connect it to my laptop so that i can see desktop on my laptop screen ???

I really haven't any time in these day to go buying a new monitor

You will have a better chance of getting an answer if you start a new thread. Read the suggestions from above. The video port on your laptop is output only.
