Real quick question. Since 754 boards are disappearing, its hard to find one for an HTPC. I wanted something stable, and wanted onbaord video with tv-out. They all seem to have onboard video, but none seem to have the s-video out. I know Jetway used to have something, but cannot find anything of it on their website. I will even go as far as to buy a used one on eBay.

Now, if it is that much of a hassle, should I just forget it, and go the 939 route? I wanted to try something different with the Turion, but I dont want to have to put a video card in the system. Anyone with any advice would be great.

Thank you.

Acortech has a generic tv tuner mpeg capture card with remote for only $23.95 shipped. You could use that with any socket 754 board and sempron cpu. I don't believe turion is worth the extra money. It takes a special heatsink, and only works on certain msi and dfi boards. I remember seeing the board you're talking about, but can't find it now. I did find a jetway 754 board with onboard video at a place called weirdstuff warehouse for $17.95. You'll also find similar deals with newegg's open box boards.

I don't know what it's like where you are but here in the UK even finding new 939 mATX mobos is virtually impossible.
AM2 would be a lot easier.
