Something weird is happening to me, whenever I open CPUID HWMonitor, my temp is at 90-95. It is never that high at any point while I am using my pc other than when I open the application, and after a few seconds it goes back down to normal. Could this mean that the temperature has been at 90-95 all the time that hwmonitor hasn't been open? or that my temperature kicks up when I first open it. I hadn't seen any talk of this happening to anyone else, I would appreciate any help. My CPU is ryzen 5 2600X.

It can be. You can verify the results by using another use of software, such as HWInfo. Newer motherboards also have a HW Monitor in the BIOS, if you see the temps in the 90's, I'd do a quick reboot and go into the BIOS and check out what the temp there might be, if it's pretty high straight after a reboot then chances are it's pretty high when in use too.

This quote first also made me curious, how do you gauge it's never been that high? Is it that you don't feel the heat radiated from the machine or hear the fans going nuts to gauge this?

i gauge how high it tis through HWMonitor, when it is open it is never that high, it is only 90-95 when i first open HWmonitor and then goes back to normal, the entire rest of the time that i am using my pc hwmonitor is open and my temperature never reaches that high
