Hypertransport Question

I see the Phenom I'm considering buying (9950) has a hypertransport of 4000mhz. I havn't seen a single motherboard that supports more than 2600mhz. Whats up with that?

Ok, i'm confused. What should i set the hypertransport to i nthe BIOS when i install this CPU? 2000?

You don't need to set anything. Unless you're overclocking, it should work the moment you installed the CPU.

I know with my current machine It can be set to 400, 600, 800 and 1000. Processor is rated for 1000, so that's what i set it at.Im not sure what it defauto, i think it was 800.

Yup, don't worry. The 9950 has a Hypertransport link of 2000mhz.
