Hello. I bought brand new Intel NUC 11 Extreme KIT with i7 11700B. I added RTX 3080 XC3 ultra, 32gb ram and 3tb ssds.
Im running Windows 11 and i have a issue that cause my microphone. When microphone is pluged in, i shut Down PC and after about 5s my PC starts again. If i unplug the microphone my PC shut down and stay shuted down.

I tried turn off all devices that can wake up my PC, installed last bios, installed last firmware for microphone, disabled fastboot, disabled USB when PC is off, disabled wake up on lan... Tried lot of tutorial but nothing helps.

I found that Somebody says, his problem was solved by putttin the microphone to usb 2.0 but my nuc has only USB 3.0 and better.

So any suggestion ? Im tired of unpluging mic everytime i want shut down my pc.

And same is for sleep mode. Mic wakes it up

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Go into Device Manager and see if there's anything flagged with a yellow exclamation mark. I would suggest trying to reinstall your chipset drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Out of curiosity, can you pass on the SKU for your NUC? If not, what wattage is the PSU for your NUC kit?

Hello, there is no yellow exclamation marks in device manager. Also i have all drivers up to date, used Intel asistent. Im from czech republic i dont understand what you mean about "can you pass on the SKU for your NUC?'
PSU is 650W FSP 80+. In the datasheet they said it can ran GPU up to 350W.

Btw everything runs fine, it microphone is not connected i can turn of the PC. Only issue is the mic

SKU is an abbreviation for Stock Keeping Unit, or as people more commonly speak, the Model or Part number of the item in question.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_keeping_unit

What we'd appreciate is the Manufacturer's name and the Part number of your microphone.

I've heard of WOL (Wake On LAN) for Ethernet connections but never WOM (Wake On Microphone).
Microphone is HyperX SoloCast S, model number is S19POAA, QDC001. Nuc is 11 Extreme Canyon kit, 11700B CPU.

I had made an account on this forum just to comment on this thread. After hours of troubleshooting, this one quote was the answer to my issue. I had just recently bought a HyperX Quadcast S and had it connected to a random USB 3.0 port on the motherboard IO, which caused the exact problem you had described. I would put my computer to sleep, and immediately after the computer appeared to fully enter sleep mode, it would wake.

With the quote itself, I'm not sure what about USB3.0 and the microphone is causing the device to wake itself up after being in sleep mode, but it is indeed an issue with the mic and USB3.0. Connecting this to a spare 2.0 port on the motherboard did the trick, and my system no longer wakes from sleep with the device connected.

TLDR;

Connecting the mic to a USB3.0 port causes this issue, using a USB2.0 port on the motherboard (I would assume any USB2.0 port on the case would do the trick too, haven't tested) resolves this issue.

I had to register for an account just to say that plugging it into USB 2.0 fixed the microphone not turning on after sleep!
