Hello,
I cannot install the drivers for my TrendNet TEW-423PI network interface card. I am running Windows 7 64-bit with an Intel i7 2700k and an Asus motherboard. I have tried installing with the card already in the computer - no luck. Card out of the computer install and then shut off and put in - no luck. The instructions that come with the card say that after you install the program that instantly runs from the CD provided you should shut off the computer and install the card and when you turn the computer back on the drivers will install automatically. It has failed to do so and although I pulled all possible drivers from TrendNet's site it still stubbornly refuses to even recognize that there are drivers for it to install. Please help me!
Also on the off chance that the NIC is just defective (I am given to understand it is a rather old model) should i just get a new one and just swallow my pride?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

I am having same issue. I got the card to access the net using a combo of the Trendnet cd software and the old realtek driver that comes with win7 but i think they are conflicting causing bsod's and games to crash. So i followed some instructions to uninstall the trendnet software and add the network to a homegroup but this has proved useless. I installed this 1181 driver and still no good. Any ideas?
