hi i want to merge two partitions of my old HDD (1TB) which is completely empty. there are two partitions like 50GB and 880 GB and i want to merge these but when i click extend on these deleted partitions on windows disk management i get an error says "there is not enough space available on the disk". so what can i do?

Please show us a screencap of the Disk Management window.

But, if it is already completely empty....just DELETE all partitions, and start fresh.

i deleted them then saw 2 unallocated disks 50gb and 880gb. i was trying to merge them for an hour with no success thanks to useless windows were giving that error. anyway i have fixed it with using a program called AOMEI in 2 minutes. thank you for your quick reply, you can delete or lock the thread if you want.

i am using windows since windows 98 se edition and all these years so-called genius bill gates couldnt figure it this. this is unbelieveble. all they have do is simply give us an option to select two unallocated disks while holding down ctrl key then simply click 'merge' button. but nooooo they have to release billions of windows with only small visual changes. brilliant move. windows store what a perfect improvement.

you know what when i said windows store sth came to my mind. in windows explorer you cant get video thumbnails which were encoded with h265 (hevc) instead h264 if you dont have hevc codec on windows store installed. i am pretty sure 70% of windows users dont even know about this. so they cant have thumbnails on video files encoded with hevc codec. right now i am using windows ltsb version which microsoft store is not installed. and you know what? since there is no windows store in my windows i cant install that codec.

anyway if you read all these thank you again. i like to talk :)
