Hey guys.
I have a custom server that I built as my all in one, otherwise I’d of had a full rack. I am having an issue where I originally had 2 x 8TB and 2 x 10TB drives in a single storage pool in a TrueNAS VM with my LSI 9300 passed through to it. It was working perfect for awhile. Now I tried changing my configuration of drives around as I got another 3 x 10TB drives and I wanted to remove the 8TB drives when I’m done.
I am using 1 x 8TB drive as a shuttle for my data and I have already removed 1 x 8TB.
System specs:
Dual Xeon E5-2640v4
2x AIO Water coolers.
425gb of DDR4 ECC
Gtx 1060 6gb
2x 1tb intel u.2 datacenter nvme in a dual pcie adapter
2x 1tb intel u.2 datacenter nvme in a dual pcie adapter (4 drives of these totoal)
1x 800gb intel u.2 datacenter nvme
5x 10TB western digital datacenter drives
1x 8TB HGST DC drive
LSI-9300 8i
4x 180mm fans
3x 80mm fans
Seasonic gold 1300w PSU
I’ve tried putting it back into its original config but I can’t for the life of me get sata power working. The best I’ve gotten is 1 drive powered via sata and I even have another drive on that same cable and it doesn’t turn on. One thing to note is I have two drives currently using molex to sata converters and those will spin. All of these drives I know for a 100% fact are good.
Does anyone have any ideas?
