[SOLVED] I have an issue with my laptop not using the RX 460 discrete GPU ?

Hi there and good day to you guys, I have an ASUS X550I laptop and I'm having problem using the discrete RX 460 GPU. To give you an idea of what exactly is the problem, here it goes :

Problem is that even when I choose my games to use discrete GPU, it doesn't, even though my device manager does clearly identify RX 460 I'm stuck with R7 Graphics, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers over and over, if anyone's encountered this and has a solution it would be much appreciated.

Download GPU-Z select the rx 460 and post a screen shot of the screen it shows with information like bios drive etc.

You need to be running plugged in to use discrete graphics.

I've been told I might need to change my BIOS settings to use this GPU as my discrete or just update my BIOS.
I tried to change my BIOS settings but I can't find anything related to my GPU in there.

I don't think that's the issue, I run my laptop plugged in almost all the time especially when I want to play.

From the looks of that screen shot the 460 is dead. Showing zero vram common for these to die in my reading. It's not looking good
