Hi, I bought an hp 600 g2 (intel gen 6, ddr4) without storage, ram and cpu for 30 bucks, ill bought all the components and put inside the pc, when i turn on the pc, my monitor doesnt show anything, cpu fan doesnt work too but the rest of the fans works together with the light that shows if the pc turns on.
I removed the ram to see if the computer gave an error sound but nothing happened, the same with the ssd & gpu.

tried to turn on with and without a gpu (rx 460)

I think it could be the psu but I'm not sure, I'll take it to service but first I'd like to ask if someone has any idea about it.

Specs:

i5 6500
1 stick ddr4 (8gb lenovo 2666mhz)
ssd phantom 480gb
rx 460 2gb

Will computer boot into Safe Mode?

= = = =

Do you have the motherboard's User Guide/Manual?

If not, go to HP's website - hopefully you will be able to download the applicable User Guide/Manual.

(Be careful about other sites that may claim to have the manual.)

Check the User Manual to ensure 1) that all installed components are supported and, 2) that all components are correctly installed and connected.

What PSU is installed: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original, new, used, refurbished)?

The fact that the CPU cooler does NOT "turn on" (I presume you mean the fan does not turn) is a BIG part of this. MOST system mobos will NOT allow you to boot up if they get NO speed signal from the CPU cooler attached to the CPU_FAN header. So check these things
1. Is the cable from the CPU fan plugged into the CPU_FAN header? If so, is it securely on, or loose? If it looks good, proceed.
2. As a TEST, disconnect that fan. Now plug into the CPU_FAN header the cable from one of your CASE fans, and see if that fan will start up AND allow the system to boot. If it does, do NOT let it run for any significant time because your CPU does NOT have any real cooling. But if the system can boot this way, then the CPU cooler system fan is faulty and needs to be replaced. On the other hand, if the substitute fan also will not start, there may be a problem with the header.

Just to be sure I got this right: when you did this the substitute fan did start up. So THEN, did the entire system begin to boot up and show you a screen display? If yest, then the failed CPU cooler fan IS a big part of the problem.

In that case, you have two options. ONE is to replace the entire CPU cooler unit, which requires careful removal of the old one, cleaning the CPU top, and using just the right amount of thermal paste on that top before installing the new cooler. Find and follow instructions on details of that whole process. OR, on many such units you can remove the FAN only from the heatsink without removing the heatsink from the CPU. Then you replace only the fan, but you need to choose that replacement fan carefully to match the performance of the old fan.

Whichever route you decide (IF the boot appears to work), post back here if you need more details on how to do.

Hello, the truth is I only connected it for a few seconds (fan turns on) for fear of burning the fan or processor and I did not check the monitor, anyway today I will ask for a new heatsink to check if works
