Ok, I let my kids play TS2 on my computer too...and I downloaded Sims PE a
while ago and never used it... dunno how... Anyhow, to cut a long story
short, one of my dear brats decided to play in my house (OUT OF BOUNDS! - I
generally restrict them to the alien neighbourhood cos it freaks me out)
Now he must have clicked on something/things in PE cos I now have the phone
ringing off the hook and every single sim ever invented seems to be their
friend.... AND... damn blue skeletons seem to know where my sim is about
to go, before they go there!.... Can I change it back to normal? Ohhh
dear I hope so....... *goes to search a home castration kit......

Did you ask your child if he/she actually opened simpe and used it for
anything? It is a separate program.

Ohhh ok... he told me he clicked on the letterbox...so maybe it's something
else.... so I clicked on it and it gives all these weird options about
making everyone your friend and forcing mail delivery etc., ??

Sounds like the "boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true" cheat is activated,
then you get all those options.

Either that or you've downloaded the mail box hack with a lot from the
Exchange. You can find the hack in your downloads folder with the Clean
Installer programme from mod the sims - hacks show up as red.

No, it's a mailbox hack. And there's some other hack--haven't found it
yet--that miraculously makes your Sims know everyone in the neighborhood
suddenly. Since friendships are needed for promotions this doesn't seem
like a bad thing, until, as the OP said, your phone starts ringing off
the hook and you get endless messages that your Sim's friendship level
with so-and-so is slipping. It gets so bad you can't use the phone for
legitimate things anymore because it never stops ringing.

Just to let you know I found the file name of the hacked letter box over at
mod the sims 2 and deleted it..... now.... to see if it works!

Or when you get the screen saying x isn't you friend anymore but it
happens to about 50 sims at the same time!

ok.... it removed the ability to use the letterbox hack...which is a good
thing... BUT I still have blue skeletons and a phone ringing off the
hook!!! Oh and yeah lost about 30 family friends for not keeping up with
them...LOL

I know nothing about these blue skeletons - never heard of them, but, the
friendship thing I may be able to help with. to loose the friends once and
for all and get it over with you could use SimPe to change the friendship
rating to below the threshold on those Sims you want to lose. Then there is
the option to keep these friends - MTS2 has something called the flamingo of
friendship. They are cumulative so three flamingos will actually raise your
friendship ratings with every Sim.
