Im new to the computer scene and was wanting a bit of help of what i should replace my NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 with since its not very good today's standards

ATX 500B Power supply
500w
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 4460 @ 3.20GHz
Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 800MHz
Motherboard
MSI H81M PRO-VD (MS-7846)
Graphics
17JN1 (1280x1024@60Hz)
Intel HD Graphics 4600 (MSI)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 (NVIDIA)
ForceWare version: 399.24
Storage
223GB ADATA SU650 SATA SSD
1863GB Seagate ST2000DM008-2FR102 SATA SSD

i want to play and have a good time but also have a good experience and not see noticeable frame drops when i play games that are some what new just to keep up with some newer games and play them and not have them on low settings and every detail turned off just so i can barely play a game properly.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS.

How do you use your computer: games, movies, coding....?

What are your requirements and expectations?

What criteria is being used to determine "good"?

Use Task Manager and Resource Monitor to observe system performance.

First while not gaming and then while gaming as usual.

The objective is to find some difference that relates to frame rates.

So open one tool or the other. Observe system performance.

Then slide the window to one side but leave open. Then game as usual.

Good chance that you will identify some bottleneck that is occurring.

Find that bottleneck and then possible or viable solutions can be considered.

when playing CS GO on all low settings graphics card spiked aroung 50%+ and 80% it spikes around 30 to 50 FPS alot
but when turned to medium it spiked 60%+ to 100% and capped at 100%for awhile while spiking between 60 to 100% and the fps dropped to 28 to 40 FPS of where it would spike
Average FPS low settings = 40fps
Average FPS Medium settings = 34fps

but on other games that i play like planet side 2 5 to 20 fps on medium settings
and more constant mid 20s on low settings

Take a look at the recommended hardware specs for CS GO.

Do the same for the other games that you play.

My thought is that CS GO may be demanding more than your system can deliver. Perhaps right at some threshold value.

Consider that the PSU may not be up to the task due to age and condition.
