Question I turn on my PC the Motherboard fan goes full speed but no display.

So when i power on my Pc the fans go crazy and turn on full. there is no display to the monitor and no response from any buttons.
Motherboard: Asus Tufgaming x570 pus wifi
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 super
Ram: 64 GB 2x32 ddr4
CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x 3rd gen.
PSU: Evga GQ series 850W atx12v/eps12v 80 plus gold.

Had no issues before just randomly started when i turned on the pc.

Things i have tried:
1. Reset the Gpu and restarted.
2. reset Ram and restarted
3. ran with 1 Ram stick only.
4. ran with Gpu unplugged and tried to see if onboard graphics kicked in but no luck.
5. checked all power supply cables and connections.
6. removed battery from motherboard for 2 minutes and reinserted everything no luck.

I did check the ram and GPU on another PC to check for issues and everything worked fine on there.

anyone have any ideas?

PSU make and model (or part number) is? Also, how old the PSU is, and was the PSU bought new or used/refurbished?

the PSU is Evga GQ series 850W atx12v/eps12v 80 plus gold. It was purchased new along with all the other parts for the pc in 2020

Your CPU doesn't have iGPU in (which you should know), so, why even try that?

Mediocre quality PSU. Would do fine when powering office build without dedicated GPU, but for PCs with dedicated GPU (e.g gaming rigs), it's build quality isn't sufficient. E.g it is on-par with Corsair CX/CXm series. So, not the worst but not the best either.

So, what it could be, is that your PSU developed a fault and fried CPU and/or MoBo. GPU and RAM you've already validated of working fine.

To know which of the two is toast, CPU or MoBo (or even both), you need to validate them in 2nd, compatible working PC. But MoBo is usually 1st to go when PSU acts up. Followed by GPU. CPU and RAM are more durable but not invulnerable either.

With this, new, good/great quality PSU would be in order and new MoBo too. 650W unit does fine for your build.
Good PSUs to go for, are: Seasonic Focus/Vertex/PRIME, Corsair RMx/RMi/HXi/AXi, Super Flower Leadex Gold/Platinum/Titanium.

Once you have new, good/great quality PSU and new MoBo and build still doesn't POST, then new CPU too.
Or if you want conformation, haul your PC to PC repair shop and pay for diagnostics. They can test individual components and tell exactly what components your mediocre quality PSU fried.

The PSU has lasted for 5 years so far so for a mediocre PSU ill take 5 years out of it. but will try new PSU and MOBO if no other solutions work.

So, your PSU going "pop", wouldn't be much of a surprise.

However, i'd rather use great quality PSU with 10 year warranty or even 12 year warranty (e.g both of my Seasonic PRIME PSUs have 12 year warranty), and that, without the fear of PSU killing other hardware once it's lifespan ends. Since the lower the PSU's build quality is - the higher the chance that PSU kills other hardware when it dies.

Because PSU powers everything, it is the most important component inside the PC.
So, never cheap out on PSU. And never buy used PSU either.

You've already tested almost all what can be tested. Only two tests remaining would be:
* your CPU in 2nd, compatible PC, to see if CPU works.
* 2nd, known to work CPU, RAM, GPU in your MoBo, while powered by known to work, good/great quality PSU, to see if build POSTs.

I would not use GQ to power any other known to work component, since when it has already fried CPU or MoBo (or both), it can do the same with 2nd, known to work hardware.
