Hi,
I want to build me a custom computer with all of the components I want. I have been doing my research and these are some components I have found. I'm not really a wiz about computer building, I'm having my uncle help me, but can you help? Are they all compatible?

Please tell me your guys opinions and if I should change anything. Also do I need anything else. I'm only using this computer for school and some occasional gaming. Mostly lightweight stuff, but I don't want it to be a crappy computer like my current one.

Power supply is much higher wattage than you need, but not very good quality.
I would suggest this, which still allows you to add a graphics card later if you want:

Choose a memory kit with two sticks to enable both memory channels.
Something like this:

Without a video card you will be able to run all your applications and some casual games like minecraft, but not anything with decent graphics requirements.

Depending on your budget, consider the following.
I'm assuming 1920x1080 resolution below, which is pretty standard for monitors.

Solution
Any reason you are wanting an i5 3470? It's overkill for "for school and some occasional gaming. Mostly lightweight stuff"

If I were you I would go with the i3-4130 or 4330. The 3470 has pretty terrible integrated graphics. The newer i3s have WAY better graphics power.

Honestly, you sound like a perfect candidate for an AMD A10-6800k. It it good on the cpu side(about equal to the i3s) and it has great graphics. It would work very well for occasional gaming.

The A10-6800K requires a socket FM2 or FM2+ motherboard.
The integrated performance is better than the Intel CPUs, but still rubbish compared to a discrete graphics card like the HD 7750.
The processing power of this processor is far below that of the core i5.
I would still go with the Core i5 for your school work and casual games.
If you want to enable games with higher graphics requirements, choose a discrete graphics card.
With the Core i5 you can always add a video card later, the A10 is never going to be great for games or anything CPU intensive.
