[SOLVED] i5 2400 rx 580

i have:

i5 2400
12gb ddr 3
320w psu(i will buy a 500-600w 80+ one)
gt 1030 2gb

i want to buy an rx 580 8gb from a friend but i don't know if will work(i mostly play dead by daylight and csgo)

can someone tell me i if can upgrade?

Yes, with a good name 500W PSU. It should make the old i5-2400 a good 1080p gamer.

If it doesn't start, it won't be because of bottleneck. Is this a pre-built PC or custom built? A little more info please.

HP machines are tricky. I would have to know the exact model number of the HP PC to verify that it supports the i7-2600.

It's a HP 6200 PRO Tower it came stock with the i5 2400 and 8 gb of ram but i added 4 more and the gt 1030.I want to know if it will work without needing to upgrade my cpu. EDIT:I saw some videos on youtube where some people tested the i5 2400-rx 580 8gb combo and i hoped it might work for me too

Your friend doesn't seem to understand how a bottleneck works. If it doesn't start, it won't be because of a bottleneck.

Make sure your PSU is from a trusted brand like Corsair or EVGA.

So the pc will start and run no matter what if i have a good psu. Thanks for the answer.
