Other than the -2550K not having integrated graphics, does there seem to be any difference in the 2 cpus? Also, if the -2550K lacks the IGP, does that also get rid of quick sync technology or anything else that's on the -2500K with the IGP?

Solution
Really the Intel® Core™ i5-2550K is there to help us meet demand for the Intel Core i5-2500K. In the enthusiast space the Intel Core i5-2500K is by far our best selling processor. Even at a company like Newegg.com they have had days where they have run out of stock. We have heard from a number of performance users how they don't need the IGP (Integrated Graphics on Processor) so this allowed us to release this processor.

If you were building a new system from scratch with either a Z68 or P67 mb, which cpu would you use? And is there an advantage using the Z68 over the P67 if you can't use the virtu technology or quick sync?

I plan to use it predominantly for gaming more than anything, so would trading no IGP for an extra 100MHz be better if I don't plan to really create and upload videos to YouTube or something? The only time I'd really be doing much with video is if I was transferring it from my camera to my computer for storage or minor editing

My Asus P8P67 EVO WITH A firmware BIOS update takes 'ivy bridge', I have already updated, and can assure it will work according to Asus.
