I5 3570 in Pakistan

Dear All,

Thanks in advance for your valuable time and comments.

Please let me know if I can replace G-620 with an i5 3570K - on an intel DH67CL motherboard.

Currently i have:

CPU - intel G620
Mobo intel DH67CL
2 x 4GB kingston RAM DDR3
standard SATA Hard disk.
standard PSU (nothing fancy).

My exact query is:

1. will i5 3570k will work in DH67CL motherboard (or do i need to get a new board).

2. If a new board then which one - I do not intend to overclock.

3. Will the Kingston RAM will work with the new proposed mother board.

4. Will the new combo work on the existing PSU or do i need to upgrade that as well.

Please note that currently I am not considering a discrete video card.

then yes you can fit a 3570k in the socket.

4. This all depends if you're running fine now you should run fine, just a bit hotter with the upgrade unless you have a high-end graphics card then you'd probably need to upgrade, though I don't know your current power supply so this is all just speculation.

Odd, as it's a Socket 1155, though it appears the board was only made for 2nd generation, so it's looking like you'll need a new mobo.

hi, which website are you using for shopping?
Intel core i5 3570k uses latest motherboard with (z77) chipset you need a new mobo for that cpu,
if you're going to overclock your cpu on high level go with intel core i5 2500k, for medium overclock stick with intel core i5 3570k, for no overclocking think about 2500, or 3570 (none k) version's.
What's your choice??

I do not intend to overclock.

However I will add a graphic card (probably 550 Ti or 560 Ti probably in a year).

My preference for i5 3750 k is due to HD4000 as well as video quick sync technology.

Currently I am using G620 (with intel HD 2000) & DH67CL for everything. I play Crysis 2, Black Ops etc; and will first migrate to HD 4000 before going for a separate Video Card. I have a SONY HX 9V camera; and need this system to edit some of the home movies.

I am a novice user and hardly a gamer guy.

Please suggest a mother board (preferably intel based).

I will use my friends in US to probably buy it from Microcomputers (they appear to be the cheapest).

The DH77 series should run the i5 3570k.
