Okay, let me start out by saying: I'm not a crazy extreme LN2 overclocker, but I'm also not a novice.
So, I picked up a 5820k after my 4790k wasnt quite up to my multitasking/content creation tasks. My old chip had a 4.6 GHz overclock with a 1.26 core voltage. That was being cooled by an H100I and staying relatively cool maxing out at 75 degrees C under load. Now, here is my confusion: I currently have my 5820k overclocked to 4.4GHz at LESS than 1.2 volts (1.195 to be specific). Is that a crazy good clock/voltage combo for this chip or am I freaking out over nothing ? I have stability tested with OCCT for 4 hours and run 3DMark 4 or 5 times with no crashes. Temps max out at 65 on the hottest core!
