I’ve recently got an overclocked PC with an i9 9900 running all cores at 4.9 with a H100x AIO. I haven’t had any problems with stability or games when using it. After a crash in one game (turns out its just a regular crash, nothing more) I decided to start running some stress tests on the PC.

I’ve used Aida64 and run the stability test for 30 minutes and my temps are mostly around the 82-85 mark with some core spikes into 90-92 territory. I’ve also run the CPU-Z stress CPU test and its usually around 82-85 nothing higher.

Does this seem about right

CPU-i9 9900k
Motherboard - Asus STRIX Z390-F GAMING
GPU - EVGA RTX 2080 Ti BLACK
Cooler - Corsair H100x CPU Cooler
RAM - 2x8GB CMK16GX4M2B3000C15
PSU - 650W Corsair RM650X ATX PS
SSD - Samsung 1TB 970 EVO PLUS

Also should I be looking at the average temperatures in apps like Aida or the odd spikes.

Solution
Those temperatures seem about right for that cooler. Personally I feel a h100x is a bit weak for 9900k and is outperformed by high end air coolers. It deserves a 280 or 360 AIO.
