Question iCue not detecting Corsair Strafe

Since I only have the non rgb version of the strafe i never thought of downloading Corsair's lighting software but i finally did and it doesn't detect my keyboard and i cant fix it. I remember i wanted to get my keyboard to work on my ps4 once so i did something that made this light on the top right corner constantly blink and was wondering if that has anything to do with it. Looked into it and all i found was if its blinking on a k95 it means its in 'bios mode' but my keyboard doesn't have the switch that the k95 does. or am i looking too much into it? I've already tried using different usb ports and that didnt work.
