Question If I provided someone sys specs, is there someone willing to tell me what to change?

I have 6400 ram and a board that can reach that speed but can't get any more than 3600 at default. XMP doesn't work and anytime I change something manually I get the same result. Can't post with the ram light and I forget the debug code. [redacted] Pls and Thx

Motherboard
Model Name: X670E AORUS MASTER (rev.1.0) BIOS Ver.: f9c

VGA
Brand:Nvidia Model: RTX-4070 Ti OC

CPU
Model: ryzen 9 7950x Part No.: 100-100000514WOF

Memory
Brand: gskill/skhynix Size: 32Gbx4 Part No.: F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK

Operating System Win 10 64-bit Service Pack: 10.0.19045

Power Supply
1000 W

I have the newest bios dled but haven't flashed yet. The version I'm running is from about 2 weeks ago and there hasn't been any mention of ram in the updates lately.

F5-6400J3239G32G doesn't exist.
F5-6400J3239G32GX2-RS5K
F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RS
F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK

Those are the only options from GSkill. The first is RipJaws, the second is Trident-Z white, the last is Trident-Z black. Either way, they are 2 stick kits, 32/39 timings with 32Gx2 (64Gb total), so having 4x sticks means 2x seperate kits of 32Gb.

Your motherboard supports upto 128Gb of ram, but there's exactly nothing that guarantees 128Gb of ram at 6400MHz, as that is an XMP rated speed, not the 4800MHz default DDR5.

Compatibility between 2x different kits is a function of the memory controller in the cpu, so if bumping It's voltages isn't enough to give all 128Gb a fighting chance at compatibility, you'd need to contact GSkill directly and get possible answers from them. Just because the kits 'look' identical doesn't matter, that's just a heatsink and some numbers, the insides are not, just like batches or carpet or paint.

I've heard that before. I'm going to start working on that pc here soon. I needed another rbg controller. Wires are getting ridiculous so I'm going to redo most of the cable management. I'll pluck two out before I reboot.

F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RS

I have the bottom one. Two sets of it. I copy and pasted that number from somewhere on my computer. I thought that would be enough. I reached out to gskill first and they told me to contact the board manufactuer. I haven't tried raising the voltage as I have no clue what to change in bios for ram. All other overclocking I've done is via software and I usually let it determine the changes on it's own. I'd be happy somewhere in the 5000 range. I'm not so much worried about maxing it out here. I at least want to get higher than the 3600 that I've got now.

There's 2 main voltage areas in a Ryzen, Cores and SoC. Cores are the voltages that deal with the cores and SoC deals with everything else, such as the memory controller. So that's what should be bumped, starting at 1.1v but not going higher than 1.2v. Any raises should be small, like 0.01v etc.

well, if you have to just play games it would be better a 7800x3D, it should be cheaper and is faster, if you have to do editing and this things the cpu is ok but also I would considered intel, if you have to do a mix, intel is somehow the better choice with an i5 13600k or a i7 13700k depending your budget or also the one you have choose is ok but there was a problem with amd cpu so you will have to "play" with cpu settings, and yes 2 ram modules are ok if cheaper cause mobo have only dual channel.
I didn t understood if you alredy have cpu and mobo, if soo my comment is almost useless
