I recently set up CS:S with the bots. The difference was, I set them all
on one team and me on the other, twenty of them against me.

Did I mention they could only use knives. Bloody funny I can tell ya.
The only reason I beat them was when I went on a para rampage. Damn good
fun.

Have to try that one. Have said before that CS is not my type of game
but have now tried it with the bots and ... well... it's growing on me.
Gonna try it with a few friends over a LAN and maybe graduate to a
'f'in pwnd noob' someday.

I don't like the game to be honest. Really, the worst community I've
ever known. That said I've a few ideas and if the opportunity ever
arises I'd like to arrange a AGHL vrs Bots match would be great fun.

I think especially so if we were to rename the bots after various bears
or stupid arseholes trolls like Walter Mitty. How much fun is going to
be watching his skull shatter?

/me takes his pills.

Anyway, you get the idea.

Mind those restraints dont chafe...

Yeah - heard a lot about the 'community' and that was probably what put
me off last time. On the other hand a bunch of guys on a LAN with a few
beers sounds fun - gonna have to arrange that soon. Last time was a
blast - UT (of course) D3 and Far Cry. Haven't had one since HL2 came
out - a terrible oversight caused by Xmas.

LOL, you can change all kind of behaviour
Wepon, skilzz, voicing, agression, teamwork etc
Interesting stuff

There's two files
BotProfile.db
BotChatter.db

Profile is behaviour
Chatter is link between the chatter command and the actual wav file involved

Looks like there's basis for some very special aghl bots - LOL

I absolutely agree that the community is awful, with other online FPS
games you might get the odd few lamers amongst the muture majority
however CS seems to have thousands of lamers.

Real shame too because CS:Source is pretty damn good addictive fun but
the retards playing on public servers ruin the experience
unfortunately.

Now that sounds interesting.
We setup a server with Bots on all the time. Skills set to 2 (out of 0 =
worst, 3 = best)
Bastards last night ripped me a new one. Some of the bots got skillz. :)
Some of them are "too" human like. Seem to be modeled after public
server players
eg. Bot T's in cs_italy run their asses as fast as they can to the CT
spawn. Damn stupid bots don't know AGHL rules!!

I've no idea how much difference skill will make to knife-bots but me
and Sab had much hilarity with it last night.

If me or Sabaki went down early the other was overwhelmed. We had to
devise strategies to win.

We tried holding the middle of the bridge on aztec, I was getting sliced
up and I jumped off the bridge and left Sab too his doom. My sides did
hurt

:)

Sounds like some good times to try. Do you have a CFG file to switch too
to do that or just do all the commands through console for one time only?

Be cool to just try that without wrecking the cfg file we've been tweaking.

I anticipated interest and thus made this:
http://strider.clansites.com/forum_viewtopic.php?2.169

It shouldn't be too hard to make a cfg
