I was looking at my new system and where the wireless card selection is the standard is called "Onboard LAN Network (Gb or 10/100)" all i want to know is what the hell is it? and is it wireless or not?

Link to the actual specs of the system? All new mobos come with gigabit ethernet ports. Some come with wireless cards... whats your system? thatll let us help you more

Its called the Gamer Paladin D670 I have it setup with a Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 4GB DDR2 RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5570 1GB, 500GB HDD, 600 Watt PSU...

No wireless option, you can either choose from gb lan or a overpriced xeno networking card... no wireless connectivity, ethernet only with that setup.
If you want wireless connectivity, you can get a pci, or pcie1x wireless card for around 20$ at your local tech store

wireless expansion cards arent hard to get and install... you can even get a cheap USB wireless dongle if you need
