installation problem with mouse

Doing a clean install. When the starting windows and the next diag box that you chose your language ext, the keyboard and mouse are dead. Cant go any farther.

mobo is a msi a78m e45 with a amd a6-5400k

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which USB port are you using to plug your devices into? You should always use the top two ports as they are almost always on the default USB protocol that the installation disk understands. Do any of the caps-lock or scroll-lock led's light up or are they all blank? Also, remember to plug in both mouse and keyboard prior to booting.
