Question Installed 2nd SSD in Aero 15. Drive would randomly disconnect completely. Help?

Hi everyone. Really hoping someone can help.
I have an Aero 15 (first version, from 2017). I installed a 2nd SSD in it: Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD - CT1000P1SSD8. I'm using Windows 10.
I've been having problems with it ever since day one. I tried installing another drive (same model), but it would do the same thing. The problems are:

• It would completely disconnect. I would be accessing the drive, then it would completely disappear from File Explorer. It's my D drive, and every so often, it would just disappear.
• This is corrected only by a HARD reset (holding down power button for ~10 sec).
• This happens more when I'm not plugged into AC power. (I cannot trust it to use my D: when I'm not plugged in...) (I've already checked all my power options to NOT disable hard drive, and no go).
• Playing videos is the worst offender. Even when plugged in, it often would just stop. (video stops, then when I go to file explorer, the drive would've disappeared). (I have resorted to copying the video to my C drive, then playing from there.)
• Transferring large files seem to affect it more.
• When I'm not plugged in, even accessing the drive (ie. viewing contents in file explorer) would do this. (And things like saving a Word doc could cause this, bringing up BSOD).

I was wondering if anyone has encountered this, and any tips/ideas on how to fix this? This is super annoying and frustrating, as you can imagine...

This is quite broad of an issue... So many possibilities.

Try writing something to the disc (i.e.: saving a Word doc), and upload + link the dump file here.
