hey guys i just got the i5 2500k in the mail today, and i was wondering....to install the heatsink on the cpu, do i need thermal paste (this is the stock heatsink)? on the bottom of the heatsink theres grey semi hard goo which im pretty sure is thermal paste, but i was wondering if i needed additional paste? thanks! this is my first build so any help would be appreciated!

No, you don't need to add thermal paste with the stock fan (as you correctly point out, it already has thermal paste on it). However, you do if you install a third party cooler.
