Well explaining it is hard but what i can say is that intel's current arch is able to get more work done at the same GHz compared to AMD. Hence the reason why the core i7 920 is able to do about the same amount of work as the AMD high end Phenom II line is able.

i find those benchmarks interesting
if an intel processor nearly 1/3 slower has similar benchmarks b/c of the architecture then you have to take a new look at the cost efficiency ratings. you have to base cost efficiency off of performance instead of clock speed. amd is still cheaper but not extremely. i always go intel because of this. i would rather have good architecture for a bit more money

actually both suck, sometime soon im going to make a new chip, im thinking of naming it "the Ultimate CPU" that's when people are going to bow before me and clean my feet whenever they get dirty, then i will rule the whole world and make them all say my name repeatedly, with girls all over me (more than what eminem get right now)

Dirk probably owns some stick, but he's the CEO, which is different from being an investor. Not that it matters whether or not its investors are middle eastern. For some reason people love to bring it up due to racial tension.

well i wouldn't say its racial its just that well, i'd honestly (as an american citizen) would rather be paying my money to a company owned and run in the USA as opposed to paying Jen Hsun Huang (The Chinese Owner of nVidia) a bunch of money. I wouldn't say thats racism or anything, more like a civic duty sorta.

The 2012 Olympics is going to be a bit of an eye opener for not just Americans but also for a few other nations when they come to my little multi-cultural corner of the planet, where it's easier to just refer to everyone as 'mate' because your chances of guessing their country of origin are slim to none anyway :lol:, so long as no one burns the stadium down beforehand it should be good.
