Intel i3, i5, i7 similar to BMW naming convention

I read another thread on here asking the same thing, I do find it a little odd.

I personally think Core 3 would have been fine.

Core 3 Quad
Core 3 Duo

And of course they could have kept Pentium Dual Core and Celeron names as well for lower end versions.
