I applied here a long time ago, but I understand that

we have to do.

I check back often to see if Im on the accepted or rejected list and I think the list was at 52 when I asked to join
and now its at 62, so its been updated.

Thank You for your consideration.

Welp I just added everyone, but Novuake and I are trying to figure out things to improve the club. We added the new method of submission and so far it has been working well for us.

I just think that Facebook is probably not the best option since we have the forum.

I can understand that sometimes we try to do too much, and you have a LOT of members so its ok
that FB is not too much of a consideration. I totally understand. Thank You !!!!

I agree. Facebook really just isn't the place for people that are part of this club.

I think of us as more of a very select group of people that enjoy numbers and discussion, Facebook is just spammy.

Or am I wrong? Feel free to discuss :)

Some of us do not even use Facebook!, "Ripleys" :)

With age comes wisdom Sir Novuake, and I have a lot of that to share especially in overclocking and cooling!

I'm a child at heart anyway, and refuse to grow up! :)

Well aware. Thanks for the input over the years :p

[strike]Managed to get 4.8ghz stable at a 1.375 manual vcore, however temps were too high. Might try again if hyper212 cooler yields lower temps.[/strike]

Happy with current config.

Hi i recently build my first ever system from scratch and yesterday i decided to overclock my brand new 4690K. I was reading a little bit on the internet about it and it seemed like no one was able to hit and stresstest 4.7 on only 1.2 volts. While stress testing on Aida 64 my cpu just hits the high 60ties. I also find it strange that my 4th core is always 10 degrees colder than my hotest one. Can somebody please tell me if i have indeed a good OC'ing chip and if it's normal that 1 core can be much colder.

Thanks!

Damn, that is almost too good to be true. And I thought I had a good chip because my 4790k could do 4.7ghz at 1.26vcore and stay in the mid-80s. Have you tried getting to a stable 4.8 yet? I'm having difficulty since it seems I have to increase the voltage by almost 100mv and my cooling just can't keep up with that kind of power.

PS; strangely enough, my 4th core also runs about 10 degrees cooler than the other three.

I can get to 4.7ghz still try to get the vcore down, at the moment its set with 1.265c temps will playing ghost is 68 degrees.
Don't now if that's to hot and if 1.265v don't degreed my cpu.
but will try to lower it, 1.25v is to low, so maybe somewhere between 1.25 and 1.265v.

Thanks! yes i've just tried 4.8 ghz and it's stable on 1.22 volts

Hmm interesting

Several things will effect core temperature readouts, among them, software used to read sensors, the sensors themselves, load on a specific core, the shape [or imperfection] of the CPU cover, and how well the cooler heatsink matches the CPU cover.
