I had a name or two in there...

This same CPU and board has been to atleast 4.0 GHz, but I can't get it to go higher... it hates me apparantly

@ Zontana, you might be able to overclock it a little using the base clock. Otherwise no, it's a locked cpu and won't give you the option to adjust the multiplier which is where most of the overclocking comes from. The cpu's with unlocked multipliers are the k series such as i5 6600k or i7 6700k.

Granted this is only 4 threads in use, the temps are quite nice at only 65-ish. If I disable hyper threading, I can run it all day long at 4.5GHz. At 4.6GHz it just gets too damn hot. 4.7 has stability issues under load (might get a bench mark or two). I got it to hit 4.8, but it was extremely unstable.

I mostly run it around 4GHz~4.2GHz but, when I want "cool and quite" (AMD mode lol) I select my power plan with 99% processor state MAX (forced base clock of 3.5GHz). Real simple way to knock down the CPU when I don't need the speed.

im willing to help =)
i just need you to send me duplicates of those parts so i can tinker with em!
you got deep pockets lol
that looks like 5k worth..

i wonder if you would reply since its a older post
