Intel q9300 overclock

i want to buy intel i7 and my motherboard is asus p5e did they fit or i will have problems?

this will not work, because the i7s are beyond the era of socket 775. You will have to get a different motherboard, depending on what type of i7 you would like. socket 1155 is by far the most popular but if u are rich get the new socket 2011 3960x or 3930k.
