I have a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2640 0 @ 2.50GHz with 64GB ram. Graphics is the basic one from the board. It was used as a server before. Thinking to use it for 4k video editing. Can someone tell me if this ok to work around or do I need some upgrade?

Looks good to my eyes. You have a beefy computer setup, which exactly fits video editing.
Real time testing and usage will show if you need any upgrading on the video adapter card.
The present adapter will have problems with speed and resolution, it may not be an issue dependent on your application.

Any recent graphics adapter should do, provided the mb has a a recent PCIe X3 slot.
I dont find any good adapters not running at least 4K (3840 x 2160 ) on one of the port types.
Try a data spec search on the exact type number of the mb.
That will tell you the PCIe generation.
