I'm seeing a lot of online stores sell RAM as "intel RAM" and "AMD RAM", sometimes they have an option saying "for all". is that a thing? does it really matter what you use as long as it's the correct DDR model? on google I found a lot of people saying it doesn't matter but the sellers are aggressively warning you stuff like "THIS RAM IS INTENDED FOR AMD ONLY!" also the AMD options are always cheaper than Intel ones. so yeah it's be great if somebody cleared that up for me

Solution
No. It is not a thing and sellers usually do this to sell the RAM they want to or they just don't know themselves. RAM will work for any system as long as the MOTHERBOARD is compatible with it. For example DDR4 RAM only works with motherboards that have DDR4 slots. DDR3 RAM with DDR3 motherboards. You can search up your motherboard model online to find out which generation RAM it takes. It DOES NOT MATTER WHAT CPU BRAND YOU HAVE.

In addition, the CPU's restrictions on RAM are limited to the CLOCK SPEEDS only. For example some CPU's can only optimally handle DDR4 RAM speeds up to 2666MHz, or 3200MHz. You will need to read the specifications of your CPU's limit on their respective website - but it will not stop you from putting in faster...

You will just not be getting the full performance you paid for.

There is no such thing as "Intel RAM only". As long as your RAM is compatible with your motherboard as, in DDR2 motherboard you must use RAM compatible with that motherboard. For DDR3 you must use DDR3 motherboard compatible RAM. And things go same for DDR4. I hope this clears up things for you.
