I didn'te realize that there was such little difference between the mobile i5 and i3 CPUs. According to the minimal data on that chart there doesn't even appear to be any difference...
in desktop, the obvious difference is in core count. the exception is the lowest end core i3, which has less L3 cache and prolly lower tier igpu. in mobile it's mainly in L3 cache size, turbo, clockrates and some instruction sets and fixed function features like aes-ni. mobile i3 has no turbo boost. mobile i5 and i7 both have turbo boost and ht, but dual core i7 has more L3 cache and higher end ones have 4 core with ht. some of the higher end mobile i7 may be overclockable.
intel is quite helpful in conveying those differences in their model numbering scheme.
