I remember that video that tom made... where the system was running a game and he took the heatsink off the core... AMD's processor was really smoking then :lol:
Then with the P4 back throttled and was saved by it.
Then AMD followed what Intel did.
You know, regardless of the heat prescotts do, AMD does get hotter, use more wattage when you OC them.
The heat excuse to me, is just a useless marketing slang.
If your an OC'er, that is to be expected... Intel or AMD wise.
