Ive been wanting to upgrade from my 2060 to a 30 series card for a while since some of the more demanding games i play are difficult to run or unplayable in VR.
I spotted this deal on a second hand website in my region and the seller has great reviews, the card was advertised as "works as new" and it looks like its barely touched.

Should i have waited for 40 series?

Looks like you can get a new one for € 600-650.

Your call on what used value is.

4070 (if you don't count the castrated version of the 4080) will probably be.....mid/late Q1 2023. 40 series do have much better ray tracing if that's your thing.
I dont care much for ray tracing until it becomes fully mainstream, in my region it seems similar quality third party 3070's are atleast 700 euros and some go up into the 800s.
I do see 600 euro ones but they are dual fans and more scarce brands.

If the seller wasnt lying this 3070 should be basically exactly the same as a brand new one, they bought it in 2021 and unless they bought it from another second hand or heavily mined and abused on it for a year i think it should be fine.

Tomorrow il find out.
