Is a 14ms response time ok?

Hello,
I'm building a computer to use for video editing, surfing the web, checking email, and some minor gaming. I have found this monitor the LG IPS224T-PN http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005341&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=4902415&SID=. I was wondering if it would be a good monitor for my purposes. It's in my budget and it's IPS which is a requirement. If anyone know of any other faster alternatives in this price range please post the link!

I think 14ms is fine. But I'm also using an LG IPS monitor. 23" LG IPS234V Monitor and it has 5ms response time. which is good for watching videos and playing games.

Many monitor are available in 5ms and also 2ms .ms=milli second. 2ms is for gamers who want more fps in gaming. 5ms is for normal usage. 14ms is worst for all its look like u r wathing movie in youtube with 1generation internet network provider so 1hour buffer for wathing 1min movie.

So buy atleast 5ms moniter.try AOC moniters low cost then others 3year warenty.

If video editing is your first priority, getting an IPS panel is better than a TN panel, despite it's slower response time, the colors and viewing angle will be better for sure.

Id spend the extra $20 to get this if you want to game.

Its also LED backlit, has as an HDMI as well as DVI, and my ASUS has been great

14ms is incredibly slow, especially for a tiny display and an IPS panel. $129 is also extremely cheap for an IPS panel.

I would avoid.
