Didn't even think to test out the alternate weapon perk for vehicles...

I concentrated on unlocking all of the kit items, which I did. It took until about level 22-23 to do. Now I just play the kits that work best for the situation. I almost always use the alternate vehicle weapon. Especially the missiles for the Bradley in Squad Deathmatch, if you are the only one in it, it helps ALOT. Sometimes I feel like Bert from Tremors.

Very satisfying indeed! No the hellfire is the alternate weapon, the main weapon is whatever the normal salvo of little rockets are called. Prob easier to watch the vid to see exactly, but the hellfire is a single guided missile with about a 12 sec reload time.

Yes always enjoyed the TG 2142 server and they have some good players and squad leaders. TG used to be one of the go to places when we wanted a break from our server as they promote teamplay. Pings always used to make it a little more challenging from the UK but worth persisting

EW the bradley totally ruins squad deathmatch rounds.... makes it completely unfair. But then again i hate all vehicles in the game besides the quad. they are so cheap.

We don't let Bradely last to long in the Squad Deathmatches. It ususally gets rocketed pretty quick along side mortar striked. Now that we use the tracer dart it's just easy.

I find the quad the cheapest of the bunch; its underside cannon is deadly. Me and a teamate once had a 32 kill streak going with the thing...[the three engineers behind us certainly helped out though 😛]

The Quad has a cannon? As in the little 4-wheeler? Or are you talking about one of the other vehicles?

How do you get the lock to stick when you aimed up? I was playing with the tracers the other night and it seems like you lock on to the target but then you lose the lock pretty quickly once the square is out of the scope and you are aiming up.

That is why I like to use the side mounted lasers...takes a little more skill than the cannon.

I generally aim just above the obstructions, although others simply jerk stright up then shoot.

So now they have an update that totally screws with the weapons. It changed the server browser a bit which is nice, but takes long to load again.

My M24 misses all the time now. I've HIT people with magnum bullets in the HEAD last night and they didn't die. From 50FT away. WTF.

The range of the M60 needs nerfed a bit. And the M16 is ridiculous now. The Gustav is also nerfed a little TOO much.

Here is an update from the BC2 Forum on the changes. I see why the M16 kills me more form a distance, they increased the range of it. BLAH!. And they decreased the range of the bolt action sniper rifles, which STILL doesn't explain why I can't kill someone at 50FT at times.

As requested by the community, here is the exhaustive all inclusive changelist of all balance updates made in the R10 Server update for PC.

Increased the base range of all Automatic and Semiautomatic weapons for more consistent close range combat.
Slightly increased the damage of Semiautomatic rifles over long range for more consistent damage output.

Increased the zoomed burst accuracy of LMGs and decreased LMG accuracy when moving to reduce LMG run and gun.
Decreased the base damage of the M60 and XM8 LMGs to bring them in line with the other LMG damage values.
Decreased the damage of the PKM over long range to balance it with other LMGs.
Increased the base damage of the Type88 LMG to balance it with other LMGs.

Slightly reduced the base damage of the M16 and G3 to balance the increased range.
Slightly increased the damage of the AEK971, F2000, AN94, and AUG over long range to balance them with other Assault Rifles.

Reduced the lethal blast range of the 40mm grenade and M2CG to highlight their role as a secondary weapon against infantry.
Slightly Reduced the max range of the 40mm shotgun to balance it with other shotguns.
Slightly increased the base damage of shotgun rounds and reduced their range to clarify ideal shotgun combat distance.

Reduced the base damage of the PP2000 to balance the increased range.
Increased the damage of the 9A91 over long range to balance its lower magazine size.

Increased the damage and range of the M9, M93 pistols to make them more desirable as a secondary weapon.
Increased the range of the MP443 pistol to make it more desirable as a secondary weapon.
Increased the damage of the MP412 over long range to balance its low rate of fire.
Slightly reduced the rate of fire of the M1911 pistol to balance it with other pistols.

Increased the repair and overheat speeds of the Power Tool. Now overheats sooner but repairs the same amount before overheating.
Increased the maximum number of Motion Sensors that can be carried from 2 to 3 and increased the speed which new sensors are acquired from ammo boxes.
Significantly increased the speed of the Tracer Dart projectile to make it more effective against airborne targets.
Increased the reload time of the Mortar Strike and reduced the damage it does to heavily armored vehicles.
Decreased the range of Bolt Action Sniper and Pump Shotgun Slug rounds when using Magnum Ammo for better Kit Balance, especially in Hardcore.
Slightly increased the Health of soldiers in Hardcore for better Kit Balance.

Increased the benefit from the Medkit Heal+ specialization to make it more desirable as a Specialization.
Decreased the benefit from Vehicle Reload Speed to balance it against other Vehicle Specializations.
Slightly decreased the benefit from accuracy specializations to balance the changes to range and accuracy tweaks.

Fixed a bug where the BMD3 would take extra damage to the front armor.
Reduced the explosive damage from Attack Helicopter cannons.
Increased the damage of AA guns against all targets. The AA gun should be much more effective against infantry on Port Valdez.

These changes will eventually make their way to the 360 and PS3 as we work with our partners Microsoft and Sony to continue to support BFBC2 on all platforms.

With <3, Demize99.

Now we have to relearn all of the weapons again. I really think they changed to much at once in regard to weapons. They should have changed a few things so we could get used to them. I now have to be fearful of assault rifles at a long distance. People running with LMG's have bad aim now, but if they stop and aim it is more accurate than before. TOTALLY threw me off last night.

Yes, it will be interesting to see how it pans out. I always felt that the assault weapons needed a boost as at short - medium range I didn't feel like you had a weapon advantage over other kits. LMG aim makes sense, I spent a lot of time running and gunning with the XM8 LMG as it seemed to work just as well as the assault rifles but with a 100 shot mag

I actually felt the assault weapons were pretty well balanced. I actually really only had a problem with the M60 as a weapon. I do agree with the accuracy of a LMG when running, but not the zoom burst accuracy. Do you really think you can pull an M60 to the site and fire like that in real life? Nope. I am still very bitter about the sniper rifles. I was playing last night and did pretty well, but with the M24 it took 2 shots alot of times. I was having a few chat conversations with people and I said "why did they nerf the sniper rifles, they are almost useless now". I had a number of people agree. I was so made I put down the game and turned to my PS3 for entertainment. I think I will put BC2 down for a little before I get mad at it. Maybe in a week or two it will be better.

They made the M24 about as powerful as it was in BF2: Two hits to kill, unless you get a headshot.

So far, the kits look much more balenced now; Medics are a less overpowering class now, snipers now have to be proficent at headshots [like they are supposed to], and with the 203 nerf, Assaults are brought back to the proper balence.

I still think something is up with the hit detection. Like I said I've zoomed in on a target from the bush and had several headshot that just don't kill. Othertimes, a non-headshet will kill on one hit. Just doesn't make sense. And I mean these short are from the bushes, on a target standing still, from very close. I'd say this has happened less than a doze times in the last few days. However, it is very frustrating.

Still say some assault rifles are too accurate and deadly from a distance. An M16 shouldn't be sniping people from THAT far way. It's very difficult when it's an M16 vs M24 from a long distance. M24 you miss once you have are dead because apparently then can put every shot on target from 200 yards away.

oh wow! I had no idea they did all of this. WOOT upgraded AN94 lol
Good thing I already got Plat. with the M60.
@Jay, the m16 is meant to be very accurate, but it doesnt do much damage, so it takes more rounds to kill.

I have been dropped by that dang M16 from SO far away in a single burst. Normally as a sniper I get hit, but it doesn't kill me immediately. And my poor M24 just isn't cutting it. Last night I was playing and everyone was saying "we need more snipers". And I said "Well if they didn't nerf the sniper rifles, more people would do it." I find it hard to keep a 1:1 anymore with the sniper rifle where in the past I was normally around 2:1. Granted that doesn't seem like much but when the body count goes up 12:12 or 24:12 is really a difference. I was playing a little over the weekend and a few times I found myself abandoning the sniper kit and grabbing my ol M416. I was getting a better kill ratio with that than my M24.

Yea, I never even liked sniping, I just did it to do it lol
I was stoked to get the m416, only to find out that it was rubbish compared the an94
But now i stick with my good old xm8 c while i destroy with the RPG (thats right, NO GUSTAV)

I don't know but ever since the last update I have had my ass handed to me on a plate. I am still trying to get by hand wrapped around the weapons that they changed. I thought they were pretty good before except for the M60 needed a little nerfing. But that was all I could complain about, maybe the Gustav when it has the extra explosion perk on. I am totally confused now.

Yet again last night people were complaining we didn't have enough snipers. I did have a decent round of 10:1 last night for the sole reason I stayed in a house and didn't move on the Arica Harbor Conquest map (which is a cool map for conquest). motion mines and my pistol saved my ass countless times when they tried to take over my house. I'm surprised they didn't level my house with rockets. The whole back side was blasted open. Other than this round I was under a 1:1 ratio on all other games. I was mostly recon and even staying far back the assault rifles kept picking me off from ridiculous distances. I usually have good rounds like the 10:1 when I'm recon, but not often anymore.
