well is the corsair vs 550 power supply good for this build
1. intel i5 4670
2. gigabye b85m-d3h motherboard
3. amd r9 280
please do tell that will this powersupply work fine especially with the graphics card r9 280
It could be good, but its a Tier Three PSU: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html.
If you haven't bought it yet,I would suggest getting a XFX Pro/Core 650W,which is a great and a very reliable PSU.

I agree corsair vs and cx series arent very good. They use cheap Chinese capacitors. The xfx he mentioned is much better.

Be careful with that PSU. the R9 280 is a power hungry GPU and the VS 450/550 is convicted that the +12V is too low on load, at least in my country. For gaming, go for a Seasonic or at least a Corsair RM/CS series.
