Is dropbox as good as it sounds?

I ran across Dropbox in one of those lists of great apps to get and wondered if it works as good as it sounds, and how can they give you backup server space for free?

It's convenient. But in an enterprise environment, it can be a security issue.

^ True. Also to add on to evan's comment. I wouldn't use really just for backup, but if you for instance need to move files between devices it's very convenient. They even have an API that you can build into your own apps, etc. to move files to and from.

You can also look into windows live sync/mesh. It works with Vista and 7.
