[SOLVED] Is increasing usable RAM with msconfig safe?

I'm trying to get it somewhere around 8-10gb RAM, since my PC came with only 4GB usable RAM. I've tried searching with google but I got very mixed responses. Can a more professional person guide me on this?

Here's some of my pc specs if needed:

• x64 bit windows
• i have 16 gb ram installed
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

does windows see all the ram in resource manager?

Can you show screenshots? msconfig , Task Manager (performance/memory section), CPU-Z (memory and spd sections).

Also show screenshot from Control Panel\System.
If you have only 4GB available with 16GB installed, this could mean, you have 32bit OS.
Then to get access to remaining ram would require full reinstallation of windows to 64bit version.

When I go to ram in resource manager, it says I have 16384 MB of RAM installed, so im assuming thats a yes.
I think it worked since im definitely finding less overheating. Thank you!
